چکیده

Background: Sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia) is a forage crop that yields high in arid and calcareous soils cultivated large areas. There aren’t many genetic diversity studies on the varieties of cultured sainfoin. This study was conducted to determine degree relationship between 23 landraces one registered variety. Methods: To take samples from populations, seeds were sown field 2014. Samples taken young leaves plants preserved at -80oC same year. RAPD ISSR primers used study. The bands obtained as result PCR recorded data both methods also evaluated by combining them. Result: In study, 5 4 total 49 obtained. Of 29 using primers, 20 found be polymorphic 15 polymorphic. It there very low correlation two methods. Using markers + combination, similarity index among populations 0.25-0.95, 0.5-1.00 0.45-0.91, respectively. Nei’s 0.3365, 0.2656 0.3018 with RAPD, Based dendrograms under analysis classified into 3, 3 groups, With this closest identified significantly detected.

Evaluation of genetic diversity of Avicenniaceae family in Indian sundarban by using RAPD and ISSR markers

The present investigation was undertaken to describe the relationships among species of Avicenniaceae family which have both economic and medicinal activities, collected in Indian Sundarban by the help of RAPD and ISSR markers. In this study, three different species of Avicennia genus were collected. Frozen young leaves (-200C) were taken to isolate the genomic DNA using a slightly modified CTA...

Micropropagation of Bioencapsulation and Ultrastructural Features of Sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia) Grown In Vivo and In Vitro

To explore the potential of in vitro rapid regeneration, three varieties (Golpaygan-181, Orumieh-1763, and Gorgan-1601) of sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia Scop. syn. Onobrychis sativa L.) were evaluated. For the first time, an encapsulation protocol was established from somatic embryogenic callus in torpedo and cotyledonary stages to create artificial seeds. Callus derived from different concen...

Large Variability of Proanthocyanidin Content and Composition in Sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia)

Proanthocyanidins (PAs) in sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia Scop.) are of interest to ameliorate the sustainability of livestock production. However, sainfoin forage yield and PA concentrations, as well as their composition, require optimization. Individual plants of 27 sainfoin accessions from four continents were analyzed with LC-ESI-QqQ-MS/MS for PA concentrations and simple phenolic compound...

Assessment of Genetic Relations among Cultivated Olives by ISSR Markers

Olive grows in the mid-latitudes in the world and in areas with Mediterranean climate. Olive is one of the important agricultural products in Mediterranean Basin and Turkey. Its contribution to economy makes it valuable to determine the genetic relations among different olive varieties. In this study, genetic variations among 13 different olive cultivars were determined through 22 ISSR primers ...

The effect of dietary sainfoin ( Onobrychis viciifolia) on local cellular responses to Trichostrongylus colubriformis in sheep.

The effect of sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia) hay consumption on the pathophysiology and local cellular responses of growing lambs during infection with Trichostrongylus colubriformis was investigated. Thirty-two lambs, 16 weeks of age, were allocated to 1 of 4 treatment groups (n=8) that were offered either grass (G) or sainfoin (S) hay while concurrently either infected (+), or not (-) with ...
